Ethical considerations are an integral part of the research design and implementation process in any research field, especially in contexts involving diverse groups and cultures. My topic is research involving ethnic minorities and people from various cultural backgrounds. Ethical considerations have become the most essential part of my project. (The following signatures are in no particular order)
During this stage of the project, I discussed (cultural appreciation and appropriation), (ethnic minority culture) and (Chinese fashion market) with a total of 19 people. A total of 16 of them signed my participant consent form.
The reason why three of them did not sign:
In my interviews with people in the Chinese fashion market, since the company still employed two interviewees, they did not want to reveal their real names or sign the “Participant Consent Form.” Despite this, they agreed to let me use the data they provided. In my interview with the Bai elderly in Dali, since older people could not write her name, she clearly stated that the information she offered to me could be used for presentation. Therefore, the records of these three interviews will not show the names of the participants.
